Course 1: B2 German for Doctors

Looking to acquire a B2 certificate?

  • Provides you with general language skills to help you pass the B2 exam
  • Includes specialist medical vocabulary to prepare you for working in Germany.
  • Training is either one-to-one or in a small group 

Course 2: Post-B2 Medical German for doctors

Are you a doctor who's already passed the B2 exam but would like to improve your German in your specialist field?

This course consists of the following content:

  • Specialist vocabulary
  • Communicating with patients, family members and colleagues: 
    • Medical history interviews
    • Physical examinations
    • Consultations and advisory discussions
    • Difficult situations (e.g. imparting bad news)
    • Presenting patients
  • Giving presentations on specialist subjects
  • Writing skills 
    • Written documentation
    • Doctor's notes  

Deutsch für Ärzte & Mediziner

We take your specialist field in consideration when planning your course

We use specialist texts such as medical and clinical guidelines to help you build your German language skills while also learning about some of the medical rules in place in Germany.

You can take this course up to level C1 and also sit exams to receive certificates that confirm your language skills.

  • We have new courses starting on a regular basis, so please get in touch with us to find out when the next suitable group course is due to start. One-to-one training can be arranged at any time
  • Level assessments take place either at the PET office or in the form of an online and Skype test
  • Your language trainer also has a medical background and/or has a number of years of experience in medical instruction
